I've raised £5000 to Sail across the Atlantic for the Elizabeth's Legacy Of Hope Charity

Hello my name is Astan Hamid and I am a Year 5 student at Thorpe House School. I have been there since Nursery and have enjoyed every minute. I love sports and outdoor activities, and soon I will be going on an adventure with my father sailing across the Atlantic, a 3000 mile journey which will take about 3 weeks at sea.
This will be a challenging trip, but I have been training this year to get ready for it. At the same time I would like to raise some money for a charity and heard from my school of the Elizabeth legacy of Hope.
ELoH provides vital support for children who have lost their limbs through war, accidents, and lack of access to medical care.
Thousands of young amputees in developing countries suffer every day, with little or no access to vital medical assistance, social support or education. As a result, they face life-threatening infections, struggle to move around, and are isolated from society.
Inspired by the resilience and courage of Pollyanna Hope, who lost her leg aged two in a bus collision in the UK, ELoH’s mission is to bring hope and opportunity to some of the most vulnerable child amputees in the world. Through the generosity of our supporters, we have already changed the lives of over 250 child amputees in Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Liberi and India
