1 in 5 people are living in poverty in the UK and it breaks my heart knowing that so many children living in poverty are hungry and will also not receive a gift this Christmas.
I want to create smiles for some of our most vulnerable children by creating Christmas Stockings. Our initial goal is to create 100 stockings, however the more donations we receive the more children we can benefit.
Depending on the child’s age group each Christmas Stocking will include confectionary, toiletries and a small gift such as books, colouring books, pencils, toy car, teddy bear, doll etc.
Each stocking will cost £10 per child to make and will be personalised with a hand-written gift tag from everyone who donates. Stockings will be distributed to the most vulnerable families via foodbanks and local churches.
