Continuing the tradition, on the 2nd of December we will be taking part in a fun 5k run dressed as Santa to support ASTRiiD and we need your help. ASTRiiD is a not for profit organisation aimed at helping the Invisible Talent Pool. The Invisible Talent Pool is the name that ASTRiiD gives to those people who are affected by long term chronic health conditions and as a result are no longer able to apply through normal channels for full or part time positions. But of course, all these people still have many skills and experiences that could still be very valuable to potential employers. The role of ASTRiiD is to make the invisible visible and by doing so help those that wish to continue to work and find an outlet for their skills.

There are businesses of all sizes, sectors and geographies across the UK that require access to skills in order to grow and be successful. If we are to unlock the potential of the UK workforce in order to grow our economy then we must not ignore that huge number of people who still have so much to offer but are discounted due to a medical condition.

The answer therefore is ASTRiiD: ‘Available Skills to Train, Refresh, Improve, Innovate & Develop’. At the heart of the Company is the ASTRiiD platform, developed and built by Salesforce which will match businesses with the invisible talent pool.
