Athena Racing is an all female (sailing) Match Racing Team, aged from 17-19.

We have sailed together from the age of 8 and have progressed continuously as a team, having achieved a silver medal in the ISAF team Racing World Championships, then coming 2nd in the Women's Match Racing Nationals 2016 and 2017 and 3rd at the Winter Match Racing qualifier. Last year we were invited to Lysekil, Sweden, Women's Match and most recently have been selected to compete again in Lysekil and at the Women's Match Racing Worlds in Ekaterinburg, Russia 2018.

We are currently Ranked 15th in the Women's International Match Racing Rankings and we don't want to stop there! As self taught sailors we have found this a very exciting but tough journey and have learnt a great deal along the way. E.g., when someone tells you to avoid the big rocks whilst sailing in Lysekil they mean it!

Sailing in the Women's International Match Racing Series has been a privilege and we are very much looking forward to competing in both Sweden and Russia, where we will be competing against some of the greatest female sailors in the world!

To enable us to carry on competing at an International level, we are looking for financial support. Any funds that we will hopefully raise will be put towards training, transport and accomodation. We are thankful to those who have followed our journey so far and we hope that we can continue to succeed with your help.
