I've raised £400 to help keep Athena Wildlife Rehabilitation open.

This is in aid of a wonderful lady, Lianne, who spends her time devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife in Plymouth. She is the only person to do this consistently (Besides Hedgehogs) in the area and without her, many of the young and perfectly healthy birds would be put to sleep. Everything she does it out of her own pocket and mostly on her own.
The money raised will all contribute to specialist foods and medicines as well as the upkeep and construction of new enclosures. Many of the specialist items needed are extremely expensive for small volumes. After spending so much time with Lianne and volunteering with her, its clear to see she cares so much for the wildlife she takes in.
Due to financial hardships, Lianne is no longer able to keep the rescue going without help. This year she has been inundated with so many young birds to the point where she has been beyond capacity. So far this year, Lianne has had 40+ Gulls, 30+ Song Birds (Chicks and Injured), 4 Birds of Prey, 40+ Pigeons, 15+ Corvids, 3 Mice and 3 Squirrels.
The cost of providing appropriate care for all of these animals quickly adds up.Any donations no matter how small would be greatly appreciated by this wonderful lady.
