    Story

COVID - Do we need to say any more?

Hockey stops, matches, training and practice cancelled, no more opportunities for players, coaches and volunteers to get together apart from on-screen! The pandemic hit our hockey family hard and in many different ways. There has been so much seen on TV and Social Media on how it has hit the wider community.

We wanted to do something to help those who found themselves struggling financially, physically and mentally so we set our own hockey teams a challenge to raise £5,000 to donate to local charities and organisations.

We will be doing this by looking for sponsorship for our Move in March campaign. Each team will be challenged to complete 1000 miles by either walking, running, cycling or swimming (lockdown permitting!) during the month of March.

You can help by pledging and sponsoring towards our effort. 100% of any money you donate will go towards local Atherstone charities to support families and individuals who have found the going tough during the pandemic!

    Thanks

Many thanks to everyone who has donated. Now it's time for the final push to get that total as high as we can. Just look at how many miles each team has covered over the last four weeks. Amazing!
