I've raised £500 to raise money to buy resources for Atherstone Maintained Nursery School and Bedworth Heath Maintained Nursery School Federation.

As Acting Headteacher of Atherstone and Bedworth Heath Maintained Nursery School Federation I believe passionately in giving children the greatest start we can on their journey in education. As you may know budgets are currently extremely tight within education settings and I want to raise money to provide resources that will support our children‘s learning and have an impact on the experiences we can offer.
On Sunday May 26th 2019 I am going to return to my home town and run my first ever marathon in Liverpool - a whooping 26.2 miles! I also want to raise the awareness and importance of physical development and exercise. I am going to invite our children, families and staff to do a challenge at home to gain sponsorship too - can they do 26 of a physical activity? - it could be 26 star jumps, 26 turns in a wheelchair, 26 skips using a skipping rope or 26 laps running in a local park.
The journey so far.....since 1st January i have been following a marathon plan. I have been getting up at 5am to do longer runs and through winter i have completed head torch runs in the dark! I have entered races and achieved PB’s. I have ran further than I ever have! I have had amazing friends that have helped me out by running with me on some of my runs.
I want to show our children that you can achieve the biggest of goals - even the ones that seem huge!!! They can give everything a go!
Our children and families will able to track me on race day and see my progress!
Lets fundraise together!
