2020 has truly been an 'annus horribilis' for us all, not least those of us who are freelancers in the arts. Many of us have struggled through the year with little or no financial support and so we were desperate to do something to lift our wonderful colleagues' spirits - especially approaching Christmas.

So, we‘ve gathered some of our dearest friends who, this Christmas, are going to deliver some touching personal messages and wow you with their incredible talents through the doors of a very special advent calendar.

The aim is to raise enough money to be able to pay those involved a small fee, a token of our respect and appreciation for them all, in the hope it sends each of them a clear message that they are thought of, missed, cared about and viable.

We are indebted to the artists for providing their time and talents and in some cases with a clear message that any funds go to those artists most in need. Our friends are indeed special.

These times are hard for a lot of us but If you can dig deep and donate anything, we know that your money will go a long way to supporting these incredible artists who are at the very top of their game but who now more than ever, will benefit from your support.

As the doors open, you will watch the most wonderful performances throughout advent after which you will be able donate 24/7 until the musical advent finishes.

Our thoughts and love go out to those who have lost loved ones this year, have borne extreme hardship and ill health and who this Christmas will be without those they love so dear.

In spite of everything, our arms are around you all and we wish you all a wonderful, peaceful Christmas and a New Year that brings us all hope, health, security, and a world that finally begins to heal - and lots of love.
