We are delighted to be supported by our local MSP Jenny Gilruth to help meet our target.Hi we are the Auchmuty & Dovecot Tenants Residents Association, we are an independent group set up in the early 80's to protect the rights and to support the people of the area with their Tenancy's and any other concerns.

Since then we have came a long way and we are now the only surviving independent group in Glenrothes. We still have our core services but we have widened out to, work closely with other support services. SAMH is based in our office in Glenrothes, where we provide a warm inviting base for the troops carrying out all the various projects that they are doing in the area.

We are deeply involved with the youths of the area, all ages, from all the schools. We support the groups at the local youth clubs and the Youth Forum. During the Holidays we are involved with SHAPE project that provides entertainment and a lunch free of charge to all children of school age within the Auchmuty Dovecot Woodside area predominantly, however there are children from out with these area attending too.

During lockdown this year we provided meals and activity packs to over 4,500 children all packs were carefully put together by our socially distanced volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was accommodated . We used our new Community Bus to deliver the meals and the activity bags.

During Christmas we are again providing lunch packs along with Presents. Each year we provide gifts, for all children who we have listed. However this year, it is the hardest year everyone has had to face in their lifetime. Our list has more than trebled. This year and we really need the support from the public to make these dreams come true. No child should wake up on Christmas day without a gift. We try to make it personal for parents by giving the gift and the wrapping paper, to allow them to feel part of the process, and to take on the" Santa role" We desperately need the support of the public to help meet our target.
