I've raised £500 to LightHouse Relief

On Saturday 28th July, I'll be swimming a 5km in the Thames and I thought to push myself harder for a good cause. The race starts in Royal Victoria Dock and takes you through Royal Albert Dock and back into Royal Victoria Dock.
I am supporting Lighthouse Relief NGO work in Lesvos island ! I have not worked directly with this NGO, but my cousin went there and spend a couple of months with them and can testify how serious and vital their work is. There is a critical need to fund their actions.
Lighthouse Relief NGO operates on the front line of the ongoing refugee crisis, working around-the-clock spotting shifts to assist boats in danger, with emergency teams responding to all North Shore landings.
By helping me hit my £500 target, you can make a really significant difference and support specific actions such as:
£18 - facilitates a specialised creative or skill-building workshop in one of our spaces in Ritsona refugee camp
£45 - resources to launch a new edition of the youth-led magazine "Ritsona Kingdom Journal"
£69 - allows us to provide emergency humanitarian aid for new arrivals in Lesvos for one day
£99 - supports us in the hiring and training new staff across our programming
£148 - Equipment package to engage children through positive play
£381 - covers the cost of transportation for emergency and spotting operations in Lesvos for two weeks
If the flow of refugees has reduced since 2015, they still arrive every day on the Greek shores, and Lighthouse Relief work is still very relevant.
Help me supporting the valuable work of Lighthouse Relief NGO through this page.
