Story
Audrey always loved learning all her life and instilled a love of it in her whole family, her husband Howard, her children Tim, Hilary and Lucy and her grandchildren Martha and George. Hilary and Lucy fondly remember sharing the love of art galleries and museums as well as being dragged on long walks to see old lumps of stone which she tried to transform not always successfully... in their minds to fascinating ancient burial sites. She adored reading and learning about diverse topics from literature to architecture, history to art and art history, archaelogy and geology. Learning wasn't something that you just did at school but something to be enjoyed throughout life. After retiring from teaching Audrey sat on the other side of the classroom as a student enjoying the amazing variety of courses and trips offered by the fantastic Rothsay Education Centre in Bedford. It also offered a way of meeting a wide variety of new friends who shared a love of learning and youthful spirit. When Audrey died this year our family knew she would have loved us to support the REC's work. http://www.recbedford.co.uk/
