Our goal is to enable people with disabilities to participate in football in a safe and secure environment.

Our football team was first established in 2012 by James Byrne when his disabled son wanted to start playing football. He coached the team for four years, it was then organised by Nick Gurney for the next 10 years and is now organised and run by parents and carers who volunteer to help run these inclusive sessions.

Unlike many other teams, we are fully led by parent volunteers who have first hand experience of working with children and young adults with additional needs. We have an understanding and a non pressure approach to our sessions.

We have kept the costs down as much as we can because we want to make this as accessible as possible. We do not charge our players joining fees or membership fees and we rely on sponsorships and donations to help continue to fund these sessions.

We provide every player with the same kit so they feel inclusive and part of a team. As our team is growing, we need to reach out to more sponsors to help fund these kits, equipment (balls, goals, bibs, etc) and we are now looking to upskill and train more of our volunteers to help support the team and provide regular sessions when the current trained coaches are unavailable.

We would love to be able to continue growing our team and reach out to more families in the community who have disabled children and adults who want to play football.
