Story
Why do we need this piece of equipment? Here at Auntie Val's Kitchen CIC we are a non profit company that is committed to help disabled people. This machine will enable people with mobility and motor skills difficulties to help in the finishing process of production for our jam, marmalade, chutneys & pickles, that are sold to various retail outlets, online, catering and hotels and farm shops across the county.
With the aid of this machine our jars of jam will be able to be labelled and packed in a much quicker and more aesthetic manner with accurate label positioning. Thus giving a professional finish to each jar.
Auntie Val's supports disabled people through work experience, training, social integration,Improving literacy & numeracy skills and employment opportunities. The aim is to foster the ethos of Ability not disability and help disabled people into work either within Auntie Val's or in the wider community giving disabled people a chance to improve their lives.
