Story
My name is Aurelia and I have an incredible opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. with Scottish Ballet’s Youth Exchange group, for an exciting dance trip that will help me grow as a performer and take my training and creativity to the next level!
Dance has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I am currently pursuing full-time vocational training at The Dance School of Scotland. Throughout my time there, I have dedicated myself to intensive training and performances, always striving to reach my fullest potential. I have been fortunate to perform with youth-focused companies such as The Young Ballet Company at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Scottish Youth Ballet, which I joined after earning a scholarship through a competition. These experiences have been invaluable in shaping me as a dancer, and I continue to push myself every day to grow, improve, and develop into the best artist I can be.
This trip to Washington, D.C., is more than just an opportunity to dance — it’s an amazing chance for me to collaborate with other talented dancers and gain valuable experience that will help me in my future career as a dancer. I will be taught by top professionals, engaging in creative workshops and performing in a unique cultural exchange that celebrates the power of dance to connect people across boarders.
Being part of Scottish Ballet’s Youth Exchange is a huge honour and this experience will allow me to push my artistic boundaries and gain insight into the professional dance world. However, the costs of travel and other expenses add up quickly.
I am incredibly grateful for any support you can give to help make this dream a reality. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would also be a huge help! Thank you so much for your support — I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
