Story

My name is Austin and I’m 9 months old. My challenge has been to climb the 3 highest peaks in the UK before I turn 1 to raise money for Mountain Rescue. I’ve completed Snowdon & Scafell Pike on my Daddy's back, I’m planning on completing my 3rd peak the weekend of the 10th September, Ben Nevis!

Update! - Due to Covid in the household we have had to postpone our trip this weekend however we have rearranged to 02/10

Mountain rescue teams around the UK carry out about 1500 rescue missions a year. They work alone or alongside other teams like police and firefighters but unlike them, mountain rescue is not funded by the government. They're a charity, which means all the people who carry out the rescues are volunteers and money constantly has to be raised to pay for the equipment and vehicles they need.
