I've raised £2000 to support autism dialogue support groups

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. This is your opportunity to directly help me in my endeavours to improve lives for other autistic people!
I was diagnosed as autistic some years ago and am excited to have designed a group method, (based on an established professional practice) aimed directly at bringing all members of the autistic and autism communities together (autistic people, professionals, researchers and support networks included). The aim is to help improve quality of life for autistic people in a fully participatory way, by enabling a safe space to share experiences and understanding from as many perspectives as possible. Focussing on our strengths in a truthful but safe space, we can generate new knowledge together. Autism Dialogue is developed from a similar group methodology and from my experience in both this and other related work in the field of autism. It is an evolving practice that is guided by us, the equal participants. The autism dialogue method is the first of its kind anywhere in the world and continues to receive support from key national and local organisations. Read more about this here .
Numerous Autism Dialogue sessions have taken place since 2017 with our main programme in 2018, this and the conference were a success and the word is spreading. Some photos and podcasts are on this page and there's one of our favourite videos below, of Libby Scott's own poignant and assertive presentation.
This campaign started with a £1,000 target for 2018 and with ticket sales and other donations, all costs were met! Due to the success of that first phase, we are scaling up activity for 2019/20 and have raised the target here to £2,000. All funds go towards monthly venue hire, a conference in Nov '19 and related expenses. We have no income other than donations and all work is currently voluntary. Your donations are highly appreciated! I'm moving Autism Dialogue into becoming a social enterprise now so it's going to be serious in the new year IF we can get over this big hump, with YOUR support. Thank you!
