Story

AutismAble CIC are hoping to fund outdoor renovations to improve our learners and service users physical and mental health. Due to Covid-19 we had to suspend our weekly social club and holiday activities, this has had a detrimental effect on our service users. If we can improve the outdoor area we have then we can hopefully start up the social club in the Easter time and offer our service users indoor and outdoor socially distanced activities.

We have already received some funding from The Peoples Health Trust which we are very grateful for. This money will go towards upgrading our football area and an outdoor gym but we need to raise more money to improve the large outdoor space we have. We hope to raise enough to make the area private and secure with fencing and also make a sensory forest school area which can be used as a multi-purpose area for activities and outdoor lessons.

Our learners and service users have been involved with the planning process and the project is led by our learner voice group to determine that what the money is spent on is what they feel would benefit their lives. The outdoor area will also be available to hire to the local community and benefit other children and adults with autism and / or disabilities.

We really appreciate any donations especially at this difficult time and a million thank you's in advance if you do choose to donate, from all of us at AutismAble CIC.
