    Story

This page if for donations for guests and non-attendees for our Autumn Jazz Ball on 8th September 2018 at Mere Golf and Country Club, Knutsford, Cheshire. We have over 200 people attending, but lots more can't attend because of previous commitments, holidays, etc, but they have expressed a desire to help in some way in their absence.

The proceeds for this Ball are being split between the NSPCC and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. You will probably remember the ice bucket challenge, and of course the amazing Prof Stephen Hawking who uniquely battled MND for over 50 years. Money that we can raise will go towards much needed research and also to buy communication aids in our local area. From my personal perspective, The Motor Neurone Disease Association was so fabulous to us w

hen my hubby Mark was diagnosed, and I wanted to repay them in some small way.

The NSPCC's schools 'Speak Out and Stay Safe' programme is just one aspect where your money can help. It is delivering a real difference in schools - offering assemblies and workshops to all primary school children. The NSPCC reached 1.8million children last year in over 8,000 schools and teachers have reported amazing feedback and engagement from the children - all helping to reassure children that they can speak out and get help with abuse that they see and/or experience

I have been the chairperson of my local NSPCC fundraising committee for 25 years and in that time we have raised tens of thousands of pounds for this amazing charity. We held a series of these balls in the 90's and 00's ( but stopped when the recession hit!) and I always wanted to repeat our previous success. So we are back - for one year only! Our last Ball was 12 years ago and social media brings a new aspect to our fundraising. This page is another way to boost our profits for the night - every £1 makes a difference. Every penny of money raised from this page will go to the charity, the costs of the Ball have already been covered by tickets purchased, so it will make a real difference to our overall profit.

We do have some tickets left for our Ball - so do come along and support us if you can; help us raise money and have a memorable fun night. Details at www.elle-events.co.uk/autumn-jazz-ball

If you are a company and would like me to issue an invoice to you for your donation, please let me know and I will do so.
