Ava-Grace is only seven months old and was born with Down’s syndrome and congenital heart disease which requires frequent hospital visits and the need to be on oxygen 24 hours a day.

Her illness means she needs extensive periods of time in hospital (Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and London) and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, including major surgery.

Additionally, it has required her devoted parents, Ben and Aimee, to travel and remain by her side through it all, whilst having to juggle work and home life in order to continue supporting her financially. Naturally, they do this selflessly but, as with all new families, money is always a worry.

Both families are doing everything possible and continue to support them through this tough time but imagine if we could play a small part in ensuring Ava-Grace and her family have one less thing to worry about.

For those of you who know or have met Ava-Grace (or Ben and Aimee) you'll understand why this crowdfund has been set up. Her infectious smile is reason enough to make sure she has every opportunity she needs.

Peter Evans and Alasdair Graham, drivers with DB Schenker, are fundraising towards the cost of care for Ava-Grace Williams, from St Julian’s, who needs to be on oxygen 24 hours a day and is waiting for surgery. The pair will set off from outside the Screwfix store on the Maesglas Industrial Estate between 8.30am and 8.45am on Saturday, October 29th, and expect to complete the 100 mile route in around six hours.

Throughout the ride, the pair will be picking up additional riders along the route, but it is only Mr Evans and Mr Graham who will be cycling the full 100 miles.
