Story
Help us spark imaginations and make the magic happen during play times at Aveton Gifford Primary School by contributing to our Outdoor Play and Learning fundraiser.
We’re working closely with Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) advisers to overhaul the current playground area to create a more playful, collaborative, calming and creative space where the children can let their imaginations run riot.
Primary school children spend 20% of their time in playground and we want to make it as fun and exciting as possible. Crucially, creating a space optimised for this type of play has been shown to improve the happiness of pupils and reduce bullying and accidents.
Initial plans include removing part of the playground fencing, opening up access to a large shed which will become a store room full of dressing up clothes and loose parts that can be used for imaginative play, den building, mud kitchens etc.
There are lots more exciting ideas in development and we’re aiming to raise £4k to implement these changes.
If you are able to contribute anything to our fund it would help the school enormously and be greatly appreciated by everyone. We will be continuing our fundraising efforts over the coming months.
Thank you for your support.
