Nancy, is our dear, most gorgeous friend.

She is also a 46 year year old mother of two, who lives in Hampshire. She was diagnosed with an astrocytoma, a brain cancer in 2005 . She had been in remission for 14 years, until she was told recently her aggressive cancer had returned, giving Nancy just 2 years to live.

We need your help please to get the brain cancer treatment that will help her extend Nancy's life.

We have had some exciting news for Nancy. It's possible she might be able to have treatment for her brain tumour via a trial in Switzerland.

At this stage, we aren't sure exactly what this means.

Novocure (who make the treatment Optune) have put Nancy in contact with a clinic in Switzerland and her consultant is currently liaising with them. We think it will require her visiting at least 4 times.

As Nancy announced on @gbnews on 15th May 2022, all donations that are not required in order for Nancy to receive treatment she needs, will be donated to a special project for the brain tumour community so that other people in Nancy's position can benefit. She's working on ideas with her Neuro-Oncologist, who is involved in many research projects. A wonderful win win from a situation nobody ever wants to be in. It's a work in progress so please do keep an eye out for updates.
