AWCC are again fundraising to ensure the constant improvement and upkeep of junior cricket equipment and the ability to offer free cricket for juniors for the season.

We are aiming at fundraising £750 in conjunction with a donation to FireFly Cancer Awareness and Support.

Firefly is about life, living it to the full & enjoying every second, whilst raising cancer awareness, offering support, meeting new friends & the bringing together of communities, their culture and their art.

AWCC is a friendly, inclusive and family focused club at the heart of the community. We aim to bring our community together for a place to enjoy sport, in particular cricket which also includes a space for the community to be sociable.

Our Annual T20 game will take place on Sunday 30th August in the name of Martin Towler a much beloved member of our Club who sadly passed and is being honoured by ourselves. This will be the focus of our fundraising as Club members will be partaking in the game aswell as completing laps of the field totalling the distance from Askern to Lords the Home of cricket. By our calculations that is 169 miles or in our money, 660 laps of our field!!

So come down and support the Welly on Bank Holiday the way it should be celebrated!
