Alderley & Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company (AWMTC) has been a cornerstone of creativity and community spirit for over 70 years, bringing joy, inspiration, and world-class amateur productions to Wilmslow and beyond. From dazzling musicals to one night cabarets, our shows provide an escape, a celebration, and a connection for audiences and performers alike. But now, we need your help to keep the curtain rising.

As a charity run entirely by volunteers, we exist to bring the magic of theatre to our community, while providing a platform for local talent to thrive. For many of our cast members, AWMTC is more than just a hobby - it’s a lifeline. It’s a place to make lifelong friendships, build confidence, and share their passion for performing. For some, it’s been a gateway to bigger stages; for others, it’s a cherished escape from the challenges of daily life.

However, the reality we face is daunting. Rising costs - from rehearsal space to costumes, licensing fees to set design - mean we’re being forced to stretch every penny further than ever. To make matters harder, we’ve lost key sponsorships that previously supported us. And while we desperately want to perform locally in Wilmslow to stay connected to our roots, finding affordable venues has become a significant challenge.

The Evans Theatre at Wilmslow Leisure Centre is the ideal stage for our productions, but we need to raise enough funds to cover its hire and the tech needed to make it a performance space. Without your support, we risk losing the ability to perform in the very community that has supported us for so long.
