Story
On the 14th of May 2023, our very own Director and Co-Founder Adrian Stanbury will be participating in his very first marathon in aid of MND and Farehsare UK.
The event will support the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal and the MND Association. However, as an organisation that prides itself on giving back to local ethical non for profit organisations driving a positive impact, half of the funds raised by Adrian will go to one of our charity partners Fareshare UK.
It's no secret the current cost of living crisis has seen energy prices rapidly increase and families finding themselves forced to choose between food and electricity for their homes, with many cases being reported of people skipping meals to feed their children.
Even before the cost of living crisis took root, 4.7 million people were in food insecurity, with Britain already a nation of rising in-work poverty and families – including 800,000 children – forced to turn to food banks.
Fareshare UK redistributes good food that would otherwise go to waste to frontline charities and community groups that support vulnerable people within the local community.
As an ethical business that thrives off creating a more sustainable environment and making an impact, we are proud to support such a positive charity that really makes a difference to our local community.
As a keen runner, this will be a challenge for Adrian; however, he is embracing this as an opportunity to better himself and raise money for some great causes that are close to his heart. All donations are greatly appreciated.
