Somaliland is currently suffering from one of the driest years in memory. Severe shortages of food and water, along with spiralling food prices and the deaths of livestock, have plunged many families into destitution.

Most of the animals and live stoke have died due to the lack of rain. The weak ones left are also dying. People and communities have lost everything they had to sustain themselves.

Somaliland is in humanitarian crisis. The hardest hit are rural areas particularly in Toghder and sool.There is an urgent need to support communities to survive the devastating effects of recurrent drought in Somaliland. Seasonal Gu rains did arrive in most areas of the country earlier in This year. Basic needs must be met immediately. The food security situation is deteriorating and malnutrition is rising in areas of Togdheer and Sool. Food, water and shelter are essential for those communities who have been left with nothing.

We in the developed world have to act now, there is not time. please donate what you can to this humanitarian effect. If we do not act now people will die.
