I've raised £500 to Sponsor a Desk at AYA Aljamdou Forrest Primary School!

Action for Youth Africa is building a primary school in Aljamdou, a rural village on the north bank of The Gambia. The closest primary school is long and dangerous walk to a neighbouring village; the walk must be completed by children as young as 6 if they want to get an education!
We have received donations and fundraised for the first block of classrooms, which will hold Grades 1-3 and will open in September 2019. However, we do not have the money to cover desks for the students to sit in.
Please help me help these children to get a quality education. As Nelson Mandela said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Education is a way of developing a community, helping it to become strong and self-sustaining. Help me in giving this strength and independence to Aljamdou village!
