On Sunday 17th May during Ramadan, 19-year-old Aya Hashim was shot and killed for no apparent reason. It is believed she was not the intended target.

All raised funds will go directly into the account of Aya's father

Other Fundraising pages were set up, but unfortunately, the donated money was refunded back to the donors because Aya was from the Shia faith of Islam.

I don't know Aya or her family personally, however, she was a fellow sister to all of us. We have to look out for each other. Yes, Aya was from the Shia faith of Islam, but she was also someone's daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece and granddaughter.

For the sake of humanity and equality, please donate as much as you can even if it is as little as £1. I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated by her family.
