Story
Every year Ayr Choral supports a local charity and in 2021 our nominated charity is Crossroads; Caring for Carers, South which provides time off for people in South Ayrshire who care for a relative or friend at home. Their fully trained care attendants take over most of the caring duties, regardless of age, disability or illness of the person being cared for. The carer then has time for themselves to keep up with friends and hobbies. Crossroads provides for clients referred for care by South Ayrshire Council and other organisations in the area and in our last year before Covid we had 175 clients receiving care support. Over the last year we have managed tokeep good contact with carers by phone, collecting groceries and keeping up with prescriptions.
