Story
Hello everyone,
(Backstory: At the end of 2017, I spent 2 months in Tanzania volunteering in schools and orphanages. During my time at Aston Vision orphanage, I met a young girl called Esther who like most of the children at Aston Vision, did not attend school. Their only means to education were the few lessons taught at the orphanage where over 50 children filled a small classroom in very poor conditions. After seeing this, I set up my fundraising page and thanks to many, I raised the funds to enrol a child in a private school. Esther was left at the orphanage when she was a baby after conflict between her parents left her with burn marks over her entire body that remain today. I took her to enrol in Haradali private school a few weeks later to start her journey towards a more fulfilling education. I left with a promise to help her continue her eduction in the future.)
Thank you to everyone who helped me send Esther to school last year. Since my time in Tanzania, I have been sent photos and progress reports and Esther has been doing amazing, as you can see, her most recent report shows alot of A grades! She has even been going back to the orphanage and sharing her knowledge with all the other children.
Since last year, Esther has been attending school regularly, making friends and enjoying lessons. Thanks to everyone who donated, we are able to give her an educations, a right every child should have. However for children like Esther who see the world through the eyes of an orphan, this right becomes a gift which few receive.
Once again I am raising money for Esther's school fees for the next academic year so she can continue her education into year 1 and fulfil her potential.
100% of donations will go towards Esthers school fees which includes her transport to and from the orphanage, her school uniform and stationary supplies, any extra curricular trips and of course her lessons. The education at Haradali private school is considered one of the best in the country and Esther is making the most out of this opportunity, guaranteeing her a happier future.
For more about Esther's story and our journey enrolling her in Haradali last year, have a look at my previous fundraising page. Any donations are much appreciated and you can help make a difference to a young girls life in Tanzania.
