Story

As many of you will already be aware, our son John is passionate about farm work and the great outdoors (and cutting grass!). With his autism/epilepsy, it is difficult to find facilities where John can be appropriately supported whilst exploring a level of independence.

Oak Farm is a facility for young adults with learning difficulties, combining practical activities with social events and fun.  John has been attending  Oak  Farm since 2015 and has thrived due to the dedication of the staff.  However  the facility is largely reliant on the goodwill of its employees and the local community.

With our newly found 'free time' we've decided that our trips to France and Spain need something more than wine and good food.  So, on the 14th September we'll be setting off on our tandem  bike, provisions stashed in paniers, pedalling it down from Azille (France ) to Torrox (Spain )more than 1200km., to raise money  for Oak Farm. We're hoping to complete the ride in about  three  weeks  but  whether we're still on the same tandem bike at the end of it is another matter.

Please be generous!
