A masjid is more than just a building but it is learning center, a spiritual sanctuary, but it is

a place of congregation for a community of believers, uniting them under the banner of Tauhid (the Oneness of Allah). It is   community center by which a community can develop itself and individual transform their lives and develop spiritually. The community in Sukuta Nema in the GAMBIA West Africa are in need for a mosque. At the moment they have to travel far to attend Jumah prayer and their 5 daily prayer.

It has been a year now since they have started building a masjid but are now £10k short to completing the masjid and provide the community with facilities to pray , hold events and funeral services for the relatives of the deceased; marriage ceremonies The Prophet Muhammmed (PBUH) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 439, We are appealing to all brothers and sisters out there to help in this endeavour.
