I've raised £5000 to We are raising money to buy a van and refit it, build a website and communication system, recruit and train volunteers.

North Devon’s picturesque beauty as a popular tourist destination hides the levels of poverty and hardship that exists for a significant proportion of the local population. Severe pockets of deprivation exist and over a quarter of children in the south west are living in poverty.
Zero-hour contracts and seasonal work mean that steady jobs are not readily available. Add this to an increase in housing and food costs and it is no wonder that large numbers of the local population are living well below the poverty line. Parents go without food to feed their children - right here, in North Devon.
We aim to provide a short term helping hand by way of donations of age appropriate baby essentials, from newborn to 2 years.
So here is the crazy idea… How do we collect donations, store donations and get the donations to the people who need it?
Well, how about a big van converted into a mobile donation waggon that can be accessed in various places in North Devon on specific days.
We will hold a day a month to collect donations and then have a timetable of when and where the van will be to access the service.
We are raising money to buy the van and refit it, build a website and communication system, recruit and train volunteers. Can you help?
