A close friend of mine has recently had a baby boy called Isaac, unfortunately Isaac was born with SMA Type 1. SMA Type 1 (spinal Muscular Atrophy) is a genetic muscle condition of which the muscles in Isaacs body are very weak and will continue to deteriorate. However he has been accepted to take a new ‘miracle’ drug that will help him to get stronger and stand a fighting chance. There is no saying how well Isaac will respond to this treatment but I and many others want to make sure that he has everything he needs to help him along on his journey recovery
