I've raised £500 to cover the materials and postage cost of portraits and artwork; to support families effected by pregnancy and infant loss. @portraits_by_zoe

I was approached by a family asking for a portrait of their little boy, he was born with Tuberois Sclerosis Complex, and died very shortly after birth. They wanted an image without the wires and tubes that were contained in every photograph, and had been turned down by other artists who didn't want to paint a 'dead baby'.
I was deeply touched by their story and saddened by the hurtful and ignorant responsesstarted they had recieved.
Therefore I started offering commemorative portraits and digital artwork for free to families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.
However I have only been able to send these portraits and comissions via digital format (scans or digital art) so that I wouldn't have to charge for postage, and the only cost being my time.
With your help I want to be able to cover the costs not only of shipping, but also the materials I use to create these works of art.
With the money raised I will be able to offer more tangible artwork, and offer a physical comfort to grieving families.
I have so far created over 300 portraits and commemorative prints, and create graphics for baby loss support websites, and I hope that if our goal is reached then I can help many more families in need of support.
Many thanks,
