Our Journey to Parenthood 🤍
Hi, we’re Charlotte & Ash. For the past 7 years we’ve been trying for our miracle baby.
In that time, we’ve been through:
✨ 1 year on Clomid
✨ 1.5 years on Letrozole
✨ Countless appointments, heartbreaks, and “maybe this month” moments
In January 2025, we turned to private testing and discovered I have low AMH (low ovarian reserve). It was a devastating blow, but it gave us answers. We set up this JustGiving page to help fund IVF treatment, and we were completely blown away by the kindness and support we received. Thanks to that generosity, we managed to fund our first round of IVF.
Sadly, that round ended in heartbreak. My body didn’t respond to the stimulation medication, and we only grew one follicle to size. We had no choice but to abandon the round before egg collection.
Still determined, we paid £1,500 to restart IVF from scratch — plus an extra £400 in medication because my body responded slowly. This time, things looked more hopeful. We went to egg collection and were overjoyed to get 5 eggs. For a moment, it felt like our luck was changing.
But that joy was short-lived. Less than 24 hours later, our hearts shattered again when we got the call that only 1 of our eggs had fertilised — and not in the normal way. Instead of splitting evenly into two cells, it split unevenly. Now the embryologists are watching to see if it will multiply, but the chances are very slim. If it does, it will be transferred back to me, but we have to face the reality that it may not survive.
We have now used all of the money raised through fundraising, and we’ve put every bit of savings we had towards treatment. So far, we’ve spent over £10,000 — and it’s still not enough.
We’re not ready to give up yet. We know we can’t fundraise forever, but even one more chance could give us the baby we’ve been dreaming of for 7 long years. That’s why we’re asking for your help again.
Every single donation, share, or kind word means more than we can ever express. Thank you for standing with us and giving us hope when we need it most.
Love,
Charlotte & Ash 🤍✨
