Tonight is going to be freezing.

But so many families across Hackney can’t afford to put the heating on. This means lots of parents will be forced to cover babies unsafely in coats and blankets.

£30 would pay for a baby’s 3.5 tog sleeping bag and this page is trying to raise enough money to help 30 babies sleep safe and warm this Christmas.

Whatever you can give will help.

UPDATE - Overwhelmed by the support this has got in just 12 hours! Let's try and get to 50 sleeping bags so more babies in Hackney can sleep safe and warm this Christmas.

UPDATE 2!

Can’t believe we’ve smashed the second target already.

The first sleeping bags will be arriving at mine this weekend ready to be distributed via health visitors and children’s centres early next week.

Hackney Council estimates around half of children in Hackney are living in fuel poverty this year.

Let’s see if we can get to 60 sleeping bags in 24 hours.

Thank you!

We've bought the first 50 sleeping bags today and will start distributing them to families in need in Hackney through food banks, women's refuges, health visitors and children's centres on Monday!
