Story

Many people will know the gorgeous Tina as a friend or family member. Someone so popular due to her lovely, bubbly and kind nature. We were all shocked and devastated to learn Tina had taken unwell and was rushed into hospital. Tina had developed blood clots, was in intensive care and high dependency, some of her organs began to shut down and she needed dialysis.

For almost 6 weeks Tina fought off infection and illness in hospital. She rallied with the support of her amazing hubby Stuart, her son Dennis and her friends and family. So popular they needed a diary to note the visitors who wanted in to see her!

As a result of these clots, Tina has had to have part of 8 fingers removed surgically and is waiting, literally, for some toes to 'fall' off. Losing fingers and toes, while she is here and fighting, still massively affects her day to day living. None of us can comprehend how she must be feeling. Simple things like feeding yourself, holding a pen, brushing your hair, walking your dog, putting make up on, cleaning your home, dressing yourself with zips and buttons will not be the easy task they once were for her.

We have started this Justgiving page in order to try to raise Tina's spirits, to help make life easier for her and Stuart in their home. This is a psychological and physiological bombshell in someone's life and I don't know anyone who could just pick themselves up and carry on, as Tina is really trying to do. But not every day is one she has the energy to fight - and this is a fight. To rebuild a life that unfortunately, has to be different now.

We would love for people/friends/family to reach out and help wherever they can - could you donate a fiver? a voucher for the family to enjoy a day out or a meal? Something for her to enjoy her garden. Anything to help lift Tina and Stuart from this nightmare that came from nowhere.

Everyone behind Tina is rallying to support her mentally and physically and this is just another way of us trying to help her. Thank you for reading.
