Story

Now when we heard the news of someone so special to us being diagnosed with cancer our first thought was; What can we do to help?

We held a meeting with friends and came up with a plan that we'd climb the 3 peaks over 3 days for Bex.

3 Peaks; Backpacking for Bex.

Bex is currently going through an intensive course of chemo-therapy at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. She's doing amazing, staying strong, fighting and from what I've seen still trying her hardest to keep that beautiful smile on her face.

We've spoken to Bex and the money we raise will help to aid the patients and staff of Ward 34 at the Freemans Hospital where she's currently being treated.

Ward 34 is a specialist cancer care ward providing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for both male and female patients, and specialises in the treatment of testicular cancer.

They also have a special facility for caring for patients who have post chemotherapy neutropenia (low white cell count) and are at increased risk of infection.

The Freeman Hospitals Teenage and Young Adult Unit is also based on Ward 34.

Bex has said that the work they do there is truly amazing, they've made her feel at home and helped her so much while she's there on her road to recovery.

So for Bex and all patients being treated there, we hope we can help and we hope we can send some support, strength and love to you all!

Much love, Toph, Pete, Joe & Josh xxx
