    Story

Badu Community is working on an initiative to bring some financial and food release to families over the festive holiday season.

The project is called “ That moment when……” and will comprise of festive seasonal hampers being provided to families experiencing challenging circumstances like financial pressure, food poverty or social inequality.

Badu Community recognises that “whilst the festive season is a special time for some families it can also be a financial burden for others”. The impact of COVID 19 has highlighted the concerns surrounding food poverty and we believe no child should be without food.

Festive hampers will have an approximate value of £100.00 and will include:

    Non-perishable food items,

    Supermarket voucher

    Festive activities/crackers

    Special holiday message

A board games/books for all the family to enjoy

Recipe Cards for families to cook together

A present for every child and adult in the family

In 2018 "That Moment When" reached 70 families (which included 106 children), while in 2019 it reached 167 families and 423 children. This year, because the pandemic has placed extra pressure on already struggling families, we to reach more parents and young people than ever before. Previous corporate sponsors have included Nike, Sky Cares, Plexal and Here East

Help us bring a little festive spirit to our community to give a family a moment they’ll remember for years to come.

DONATIONS WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED BEFORE SUNDAY 6th DECEMBER 2020
