Following the success of last years BADU triathletes, we have seen the impact visibility can make, as this year we have made our triathlon journey bigger and better. 90+ participants from the BADU Community have chosen to train and take part in this years London Triathlon, many of whom have started this process as either non-swimmers or beginner level swimmers.

At BADU we are constantly driving for social change and while the knock-on effect of over 70 black and global majority people taking part in a triathlon will be great, we still must cater to the community's needs through the clubs, events and initiatives that we hold day to day.

As a result, we have chosen to open up a fundraiser for people to sponsor our triathletes. The funds raised will go towards supporting the running of all BADU clubs, ensuring they remain high quality but still free for the most systemically underserved families. The proceeds will also fund our events and initiatives such as That Moment When, which we hold yearly to try to relieve families of the financial burden that comes with the festive season.
