Story
Supporters of Manchester United Football Club asked us, the supporters of Bishop Auckland Football Club to help donate money for bricks in Bishop Auckland Football Club new commemorative wall, further cementing our indelible link between the two clubs. The bricks will commemorate all 23 people who lost their lives, after a plane crash in Munich on 6th February 1958.
Following the accident Bishop Auckland FC were asked if they could send players to help Manchester United field a team, which they duly obliged by sending 3 of their best players, Derek Lewin, Bobby Hardisty and Warren Bradley.
Any money raised over and above the target will be shared equally with a worthy cause nominated by Manchester United Football Club and Bishop Auckland FC Supporters Club of which the proceeds will be used to support youth development with in the first team squad.

5 years agoJust a quick update on the brick wall and we are now in possession of the bricks and we are in the process of getting them installed. We also have a chosen charity for the surplus monies to be equally shared with youth development within Bishop Auckland FC first team squad and with Association of Former Manchester United Players. The Association of Former Manchester United Players is a very worthy cause which helps players who might not have had anywhere near the financial benefits of recent times but gave so much pleasure to so many people.
