It's important to open up.
Social pressures can mean that men find it harder to openly discuss feelings of vulnerability, or ask for help. But the evidence is clear that bottling up these feelings can make things worse. If you're suffering with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health issue, you are not alone. There are many options to help you cope, and the sooner you seek help the better. Men, feeling depression and anxiety or any other mental health illness is not unusual and is nothing to feel ashamed of.
