Bahja Initiative Fundraiser

Bahja Initiative is an Islamic organisation aiming to bring about a positive change in the community by reviving the Sunnah and upholding Islamic principles. It was established in August 2013 and since then we have been using Charter Hall as the venue for most of our events. More recently we established the Afrah Al Batul Madrassa which currently has almost 120 students. This has had a huge interest from the community and this growing demand has created a need for us to expand from our current premises.

We have therefore made the decision to move to a larger building to facilitate this growth and further our capacity to serve the local community

The building is currently completely empty and requires furnishing and purchasing the necessary items for it to be fit for purpose, some of these items include:

- CCTV, Alarm system and Fire Safety equipment
- Furniture, Interior design and décor
- Wrestling and Archery equipment
- Classroom & Office equipment
- Cleaning and Maintenance equipment
- Liability Insurance

We intend to move in to the building in January 2021 Insha’Allah.
The total estimated cost and our fundraising target is £40,000. We will also incur additional running costs due to the move to the new building; as part of this fundraiser we have a direct debit target of £1,000 p/month.
