Help to reach the dream

Hello everyone, I'm Liana. Several years ago I moved to UK to pursue my dreams in the creative career field. Since then 3 years have passed and I am nearing the finish line to my studies in college, where I study BTEC L3 Fashion. I've had the honor to get an unconditional offer from the higher education institution I've been wishing to get into - Nottingham Trent University, where I'll be continuing to study on a fashion related course 'BA Hons Fashion Design'. In the future I wish to be someone who can make a change in the fashion industry, and not only design - wise or relating to catwalk spotlight, but making a change on a global level, by supporting ethical ways of producing fashion.

Sounds great so far? I would agree, I'm an ambitious and dedicated student who has no fear of facing new challenges.. But my family isn't as supportive as I wish they would be towards me wanting to achieve something for my future, to the point where I'm not even able to get my father's financial details in order to get my maintenance loan to fund the basic living expenses, as I'll be moving farther away to Nottingham from Greater Manchester area, where I'm currently residing. My parents doesn't understand my goals that well at all, so their concern is coming off as negative, not to mention the arguments. I'm very aware of my situation and I know that i will be struggling at the start without any support.

My mother and I are living far apart from each other, as I moved in to live with my father to study in college. Shes getting barely enough to maintain her own family, so I wouldn't dare to ask for her help, as I know shes struggling herself.

I want to raise at least £1000 just to get me started for my degree, to cover basic living costs, mainly accommodation, and necessary materials for my course. This would mean a world to me.
