I've raised £5000 to Support towards Bailey’s Battle #forbaileyjay

On the 6th April 2023, the day after his 2nd birthday, our friends world was completely shattered! Stacey & Billy’s Son Bailey was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Bailey had been experiencing some episodes of one sided weakness and leg spasms for a little while, and his parents had taking him to the GP, pushing for referral for some time. Eventually, they recieved an appointment with the pediatrician, followed by a CT scan. Unfortunately, the scan revealed that devastatingly, Bailey had a brain tumour. He has since undergone several scans under GA and a biopsy, which the family painfully await the results of. This biopsy result will direct the course of action and treatment for Bailey, but unfortunately, the Neurosurgeon has currently deemed the tumor inoperable, because due to the location of the tumor, there a high risk of permanent paralysis of his right side!
At the moment, Stacey & Billy are understandably prioritizing getting their little boy and their family though this and are putting all their energy and time into doing so. So we, as their friends and family feel we should do this on their behalf and are hoping, as a community, we can all pull together and support them all through this difficult journey.
The family do not yet know the type of brain tumour Bailey has, what his prognosis is or what, if any, the course of treatment may be. However, we feel that we can begin raising funds for this hard working, genuinely lovely family and their beautiful little boy. Any monies raised can be utilised to support the family financially whilst time may need to be taken off work to support Bailey fully, to start raising funds towards any treatment over seas that may be needed, and for any treatment/care/equiptment needs Bailey may have now and in the future. We hope that this will take a little bit of the pressure off the family, at an already very difficult time.
We do plan to run some fundraising events over time alongside, however we felt it was more appropriate to set up an open donation/fundraiser link in the meantime, as so many people have asked how they can help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donations, no matter how small, it will make a huge difference to them as a family.
Please follow for updates on Baileys progress and for fundraising event information.
