    Hello everyone

Thank you for signing our petition.Your support has given us encouragement to keep on fighting.

The Home Office have completely backed off now, although not out of sympathy. This is their strategy. They will essentially try and time us out by not doing anything but keep us in limbo. Not allowed to work, not allowed Government support, not allowed to live a normal life. They know eventually we will have no choice but to give in. This is the only way they can achieve their aim without incurring more negative media coverage.

We don’t want the Home Office anywhere near our dad, as you can understand.

Thankfully, due to efforts made by our new legal representatives, our case is going to be heard in front of a Tribunal Judge early next year. This is a significant move forward considering the current hostile climate. This is the final hurdle in a 6 year long fight - we are now in the home stretch.

We need to survive until that time. From early January, we have to find new accommodation. We have set up a Just Giving page to raise money for that purpose. Even £1 will go a long way if enough people donated and we would be grateful for your support. Here is the link:

If you can’t donate, please can you share the link with other people?

Thank you so much once again.

    Kind regards,

    The Balachandran family

PS. If you donated anything to the petition page (change.org) itself two months ago when the petition was running hot, please note that we didn’t receive that money. The Just Giving page is linked directly to our bank account, so you can be certain that we will receive the money that has been raised.

Please remember that there are many others in a similar situation to ourselves and, if the current system persists, there will be many more. The set of policies which created the terrible environment in which we now languish is neither right nor left. Instead, it has all the hallmarks of a government that cares neither for immigrants nor for citizens, but only about power and power at all costs. We all have seen ample evidence of this behaviour these past few weeks.
