We are a local book group who are planning on hosting a Book Festival in Balfron this year from 5th - 7th September. The event aims to be a fun and friendly festival that brings together communities in Balfron and the surrounding villages, nurtures passion for reading and widens access to books and creativity.

In order for us to run the festival, we need to establish some seed funding to allow us to set up a simple webpage, do some marketing and cover any other associated costs such as author travel and expenses ect. In addition to us looking for external funding we are reaching out to the local community to ask you to help us get this event off the ground and in return we hope to put on an exciting range of literary events including author readings, a book themed pub quiz and family friendly events.

This event is not for profit and any money left over this year will be used for the next years events as we plan to make this an annual event that we hope the community will not only enjoy, but also help us to grow.
