The COVID 19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns, has unfortunately impacted the mental health of young people across the country.

Being involved in a sports team can have a positive impact on a child’s mental health however, this is often not enough. Thankfully there is support available from Bedfordshire Open Door.

Bedfordshire Open Door is a friendly and welcoming counselling service for young people.

As part of our fundraising activity at AFC Oakley under 13’s we have agreed to reverse sponsorship with https://www.bedfordopendoor.org.uk

The funds will provide a contribution towards an away kit and raise money for this brilliant charity.

To kick off the fundraising I am going to do a tandem skydive 🪂 with my niece for her 18th birthday and couldn‘t pass on the opportunity to raise some money for a good cause in the process!!!

The jump is paid for therefore any donations will go towards our fundraiser.
