Story

Ballochmyle House is a community of 20 homes in a converted hospital. The house has wooded and pathed areas enjoyed by residents and local walkers alike. Following World War 2 the House became a hospital, specialising in plastic surgery and recuperation for injured fighters.

The community spirit remains alive and well at Ballochmyle and this year includes social and fundraising events towards purchasing a defibrillator. Many of our residents and visitors are elderly and we decided as a community that this would be welcome given our rural location.

Our fundraising would include training for residents to ensure the defibrillator can be used quickly if required. The defibrillator would be critical to residents or visitors if the worst were to happen - until then it would bring welcome peace of mind.

Thank you for any donations you give and we look forward to updating you on our progress.
