Story

Bambi is a lovely little cat who we believe has lived with a rehoming charity at one point in her life (not sure which one). The owner who we believe had adopted Bambi from a animal welfare centre has recently rehomed her by giving her over to my friend.
Bambi is rather thin, lethargic with poor coat and skin condition. My friend has taken Bambi to the vets due to her concern over Bambi's overall level of health. The visit had been delayed due to the previous owner taking a long period of time to locate and forward her medical notes/ innoculation records. It became apparent during the consultation that poor Bambi was diagnosed in 2012 with a heart murmur that was classed as a grade 2 approximately two years ago. The vet who examined Bambi voiced real concern that her heart has not been monitored as recommended. Her records state that there appeared to be no apparent ill effects but her heart condition requires regularly monitoring. This has not happened hence the reason for the scan to be undertaken now. My friend has fell in love with Bambi and feels that she has not been told the truth. The previous owner must have known that Bambi was unwell and the delay in forwarding Bambi's medical records even after many requests shows a level of reluctance. My friend is a single parent so can ill afford the sudden increase in vet costs. She has to find a way to generate enough money to allow the heart scan to take place and any treatment required. Bambi deserves a decent long-term home where she receives lots of love & care (which luckily she has now found). With the correct medical treatment she could experience a long & happy life. Thankyou for taking the time to read Bambi's story x
